
Did y’all think Grits Fest was over?
This is another recipe for a “dinner grits dish”. This is more like a casserole. It has a great creamy texture, smooth flavor, and just enough spice!
This recipe takes grits from yum to WOWZA!

Jalapeño Cheesy Grits
1 3/4 c quick grits
32 oz chicken broth
1 stick butter
1 onion (chopped)
1 bell pepper (chopped)
1/3 cup of chopped jalapeños
1 tsp minced garlic
2 C sharp cheddar cheese
2 c Colby cheese
5 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp salt
Pepper to taste
Bring broth to boil, then add grits. Cook for about 5 minutes and set aside.
In a big skillet, sauté onions, bell pepper, jalapeños, and garlic, in butter for about 5 minutes. Then add remaining ingredients and grits.
Can bake in skillet, or pour into a 9×13 pan. Bake it at 350° for about 45 minutes.
