Take up thy bed and walk!

There was a pool of water by which many pitiful crippled folk stayed. They waited for the Angel to trouble the water because the first one in after that was healed.
The man in our scripture writing today had been infirmed for 38 years!

Jesus came to him and asked, “wilt thou be made whole?”

The man explained that he didn’t have anyone to move him to the water, and when he tried, others went in before him.

Jesus said, “Take up thy bed and walk”.

He could have rolled his eyes, or kept sitting and thinking that would never work…and he would probably still be unable to walk.

He had faith and did exactly what Jesus told him to do. He picked up his bed and walked!!

How many times has God asked you if you were going to made whole? But instead of trusting Him, you doubted that He could make a change for you & heal your situation.

God wants to do great things for us…

He wants to heal our marriages…

To restore our relationships…

To heal the broken places in us…

We have to have faith that He is able to do exactly what He says He will do. We have to trust Him and do our part.

God answers in His time.

God isn’t standing visibly in front of us telling us what to do…

But we have a Bible full of instructions.

We need to do what we know from scripture that He wants us to do.

We need to do something!

Let’s get busy obeying His word, and having faith in His promises!
