Fear Of The Lord Scripture Writing

This months scripture writing list is about the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord isn’t like fear of anything else. When we fear other things, it’s usually because we fear what COULD happen.

The fear of the Lord is more of an acknowledgment of His power, righteousness, and judgment. It is KNOWING that God means exactly what He says. He has promises in His word about the consequences of sin. We can be sure that He means what He says.

When we fear the Lord, we are very aware that He is always with us and watching everything we do. We know that He sees us (even when no one else can). He sees the intention behind every deed, and the meaning behind every unspoken word. He knows us inside & out.

The fear of the Lord is a respect for His greatness. We know that we can lean on Him during times of temptation. He always wants the best for us. There is also great rest in fearing the Lord. We also know that His keeping every promise means protection for those who fear Him.

As you write out the scriptures this month, I’d like to encourage you to highlight or underline some important things. The benefits of fearing the Lord in verses 1-15, and things that we should do in verses 16-30.

So glad to have you all along this month! Be sure to share the list with a friend. You can also send a link to encourage them to write along with you!
