What’s my why?

When I started blogging, I had the hardest time coming up with a name. Nothing really seemed to fit. Finally, Christie’s Heart came to mind. I just wanted to share things that were on my heart. I was in my 30’s and wanted to help 19-year-old me.

When I got married, I couldn’t cook. I had no idea how to take care of a husband (or a house) …then children came along! Most of all, I didn’t understand the love of Jesus. I was saved but never grew a lick!

I had a desire to do all of those things well, but didn’t know where to start. We faithfully attended church. I read every book I could get my hands on regarding being a Godly wife and mother. I read cookbooks like they were novels, soaking it all in. I enjoyed the “Arts of Home” but originally didn’t understand that it was an art!

I felt very insecure in all of those areas and felt like I was the only one struggling. I have since learned that was a lie. Here I am many years later, very secure in the fact that everyone struggles just like me!

This page is my attempt to be a help and encouragement in all things home & scripture! I absolutely don’t have all the answers, but no longer ashamed to admit it! It is my hope that something you may see or read here will encourage you to draw close to the Lord, encourage you to try something you may not would have, or even give you something to laugh at!
