
I love pound cake…
All kinds and all flavors..
Honestly, basic pound cakes vary so slightly in taste that it’s barely discernible. The texture of this one was so good from crunchy top the dense bottom!

Whipping Cream Pound Cake
3 c sugar
2 sticks butter (room temp)
6 eggs
3 c sifted cake flour
1/2 pint whipping cream
2 tsp vanilla
Cream butter and sugar until it’s smooth like shortening. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Add flour, alternating with whipping cream. Add vanilla, beat well. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Put in a cold oven. Bake at 325° for an hour and 15 minutes (or until done).
