Christian Marriage Scripture Writing

This months scripture writing is on marriage. Both the world and the Bible have alot to say on the subject.

The world will tell you its all about being served, the Bible tells you its all about serving.

The bible talks about the benefits and beautiful aspects of marriage, but also recognizes that it wont always be easy.

The world says to leave when you aren’t happy. The Bible says to cleave to your spouse. Hold on with all that you’ve got!

The world says to find your fullfillment as a wife outside of your home. The Bible says that you are to build your house and be a keeper at home.

We don’t have time these days to spend cleaning our house, or preparing good meals for our our family because we are often too busy with outside activities that the world tries to convince us will make us happy, or by wasting the day away filling our hearts with envy (rottenness of the bones Prov. 14:30) staring and lusting after the fake smiles and happiness we watch on social media.

The world screams to do what makes you happy, while the Bible is steadily calling us to holiness.

Most of the scriptures that I have chosen for this months scripture writing is directed to the women. I humbly suggest that as you write the scriptures this month, ask yourself. How does this apply to your own role as a woman or wife?

Most of these scriptures are also helpful to the single or widowed women, as they deal with relationships in general. Also, as an unmarried woman, you may be surprised at the times when God gives you opportunities to minister to a married woman. You will have the scriptures available to give Godly wisdom.

As our homes go, so go our churches, and so goes our communities. It is my prayer that these verses will encourage those of you who need it. They will step on toes and convict hearts for change. As we write them on paper this month, may the Lord write them on our hearts!
